Yummy Mangoes

Fruits anyone?! They looked so yummy isn't it? Your right! They're not only fresh, they are also sweet and the singkamas are crunchy too! So what's going on with craving for fruits? I don't know! It's just I been in the mood of pinoy food since thursday night when JJ asked me what I wanted for dinner, I asked him to pick me up some Lo Mein at a chinese restaurant. Then it happened so quick, I just found myself boarding my two little mutts in the car and we headed to a grocery store. I had some rice sticks at home and I needed some veggies to go with it so I can make some "bihon". I was very excited that I almost forgot to message JJ to cancell my Lo Mein, buti nlang nkahabol pa and he didn't get to order the Lo Mein.

I cooked my bihon as soon as I got home. After an hour I started chowing and finished 3 bowls! I still have a lot of leftover, imagine sa dami ng niluto ko. If I could only share this to any of you, I will esp. dyan sa nagdadalawang tao .

JJ on the other hand, was so busy with his new toy, he got himself Nintendo Wii in addition to his Xbox 360. Yup, my dear hubby is a big kid.

...and this fruit? We'll, I got them today at Costco. I asked my Babe to go with me just in case I can't stop myself from picking up stuff that I don't really need. All I really need was to pick up chocolates that I can add to a balikbayan box that I will be sending home hopefully by first week of May. I did a really good job shoppin' today. Got the most important stuff and then some. It's just hard to resist when you see those good deals like the Skagen watches and white gold jewelries that I've been eyeing for so long...arrghh! It hurts to leave that big ol store without them in my hand, you know! But they're not my priorities as of now...there is something more important and hopefuly I will have it in my hand by next week!

Back to my topic which are the fruits - as soon as I saw the mangoes I was like "WOW!" mangga cebu! kalami! (yummy) it's been awhile since I had it. I even missed it on my first home coming last Oct. I finished 2 mangoes tonight after we had Olive garden take home. Hopefuly, it won't bother my stomach as my mom used to tell me not to eat fruits at night.

Happy Easter Egg Hunting

IMG_3597

2.44AM Good Morning Everyone! Pretty sure everyone is snoring and getting comfy in their beds right now. JJ and I just finished coloring eggs for tomorrow. We had a pretty good nap, woke up 15 mins. before 9PM. Went to Meijer for some grocery and of course eggs! As soon as we got home, JJ googled HOW TO BOIL AN EGG! Ha, you think its funny right? I can't blame you, I actually made fun of him. It actually was his first time to boil an egg. I told him just boil water and put the eggs carefuly so it won't crack! Apparently, there is a secret for a Perfect Hard Boiled Egg and he just want to make sure his first attempt is perfect. Anyhow, egg coloring activity is really fun. I just wished we got XL sizes instead of jumbo. The animal theme sleeves won't fit with the eggs!

IMG_3590 IMG_3595
JJ submerging the animal theme egg in hot water and then colored it.

IMG_3591 IMG_3594
I used a crayon to put our names on it and then color it using coloring drops.

Happy Easter Y360 friends!
We made this egg-tra special just for you!

New Hair, New Color

Hi, how's everyone doing? I just wanna say sorry for my friends for not being able to blog lately. True, there is no such thing like "there's nothing to blog about" infact, there's too many things going on, I just don't feel like shouting it out within 360, I simply just wanna keep it for personal consumption. Some things I've already shared in private *wink* you know who you are! and so sorry that most of them were very personal. I just wanna thank you from the bottom of my heart, how lucky I am that you are there to listen to my pains and boast me to achieve my goals, hopes and dreams.

To my 360 friends, I would love to be able to share it to you someday...when I am courageous enough to shout it out. Two heads are better than one, I believe. And most of you have a very good insights and I really would like to hear your input's in due time, I will. I just hope you are still there :)

Missin' you all.

Last saturday, I got an appointment from hairstylist. I have my hair colored and I am excited to share it to you. I hope you like it too!

Spurr of the Moment

IMG_3466

At Smith and Wollensky on Valentines!

teehee =p

...kumusta and valentines ninyo?
Kami d2 ok lang naman. Wla akong work nitong araw na 'to and si JJ naman he just works from home. Super lamig sa labas, nginig at ngatal sa super lamig, kung pwede lang sana home nlang kami and e-skip nlang ang mamahaling dinner sa Smith and Wollensky pero nkabook na kami few weeks ago. 8PM and dinner namin and kala namin di passable ang daan pero malinis naman pala. I tell you though, eto na ang last valentine nmin sa resto na 'to. Next time ibang place naman.
So how was the food? Umorder naman ako ng kakaiba this time. So unlike last year di na kami umorder pa ng pampatamis.

The best gift from JJ kaso parang di naman bagay sa akin...super sexy eh! Pero tin-ry ko masarap ang feeling pero hihintay pa yata ako ng spring or summer para maisuot ko lang 'to. Ang lamig kasi eh!

  • Idenilever sya na nsa loob nitong Keepsake Organza hatbox.
  • May kasamang Lavender sachet.
  • Do not disturb sign (na obviously di nagamit kc late nga naideliver!)
  • Saka, meron pang Personalized gift card.

White Valentine

The white death is upon us =) that's what they are calling for the snow and freezing rain that we are currently experiencing right now. We're expecting between 8-12"here in Westerville, Columbus. Most businesses and establishments were closed. JJ had to work from home and my boss called me up not to go to work, nice! =)

I've been slacking around since I got up. Checking e-mails, chatting with some of my friends, Jenny, Vilma, Tosh from Pinas and Ms. Liberty ;-) I also got the chance to chat with Aya for a short period and then Xenia, later this afternoon (our first time). Overall, a nice day to catch up with freinds.

Early this afternoon, JJ and I tag-team on shoveling the snow from our driveway. I took Star and Sunny out to play and boy they loved it! We got 4-5" and then it started spitting freezing rain, whew! Here's some photos for ya =)

IMG_3376 IMG_3377
Looking out from the garage while Star and Sunny are frolicking in the snow!
IMG_3378 IMG_3379
Snow shoveling is a good exercise. Loved the snow, not the freezing rain.

...and here's the videos.

..on our way to Polaris to buy some lunch.

Miss Marc Pouch

If you have seen me last night at work, I totally resembled like Miss Marc, zooming out, tired, over-worked, gross looking, having an ugly naked day. It was the busiest day on earth for me. Only 2.5 people working, on fridays! Arggh! Ms. GM what are you thinking about? Cost cutting labor?

I don't mind it, only if Ms. GM is not showing attitude. Something went wrong to her along the way. Early last night, she made two of our Guests confused while she was taking orders. Another guest left saying "never mind! i don't understand what you say!" I was laughin' and suddenly she turned around and started coaching me as if I was the one who made mistake....hahah! Are you damaged? She said, make sure you explain, explain, explain to the guest so they understand they way we do it here! Oh yah, I am explaining it the best I could, madam perfectionist! At least I have no records of guest leaving because they couldn't understand me. I get confused, I admit that. Who doesn't? When your body, mind and soul is tired from working over 8 hours...who doesn't get confused? But I could always straightened it out. Besides, admit it...we have a lot of psycho guest who often gives us a hard time, and never listen while we are explaining things.

Ms. GM got on my nerves big time last night. I hate when people couldn't handle pressure. There is nothing you can do about it, admit mistakes and move on...just laugh it off OK? Ms. GM's first language is english yet some of our guest get confused? Last night we made the highest gross compared last year and probably will be the highest for this year with only 2.5 people working infront of the house. .5 of that was Ms. GM who works both front and back of the house.

Don't get me wrong though. I like Ms. GM. She is nice esp. when not pressured. We get some freebies from her, pickup us up some Starbucks coffee and got me few gift cards for scoring 100% or 98% on Quality Control Service. She is thoughtful and most of all she's starting to trust me by sharing her lovelife and some of her whereabouts! She would fixed me/us green tea's, cooked us her famous "tom yam soup". Most of all, I like the fact that she's not putting me on weekend schedule for weeks now. I'm not complaining =) infact, I am loving it! It's just that I hope she learns not to yell on us when we are on pressure, that's all =)

Miss Marc is the perfect accessory for Ugly naked days. It speaks a thousand words on the face of Miss Marc on this small pouch. Not too expensive for $58 via Net-a-porter or Zappos.

"There is a leather tie on the zipper for the entire pouch and a small zip pocket on the mouth. Hilarious. For the few days a year you feel like total poo, this pouch is the perfect accessory to show the world how you feel."

A Better Way to Make Photo Albums

For those who are like me who loves taking gazellions of photos but are not keen about ordering prints, here's the latest! Published your own photobook at Mypublisher. It's very easy. Click here if you are interested.

You see, I am working on our photobook which I am targeting to approximately 100 pages . They were photos since the day JJ and met in person up to now and to see if it would be worth doing it or not, I made a trial book which contains Star and Sunny's pictures (mostly star's). I just ordered the paperback since its just a trial and its only 30 pages. After I uploaded to MyPublisher's server which means that my order is final, I noticed that I made a minor typographical error in the Title page and the title of the Cover was not "centered" like i meant to. So, I e-mailed and asked them if there is anyway they can edit my book for me. The responce was very prompt, within 30 minutes I got a reply and told me how sorry they were that I made an error. They give me a coupon code which is worth $30 including shipping and handling and told me to reorder it. It wasn't clear though if that would mean they aren't going to publish my first order. Then I got an e-mail telling me that my first order was just shipped! That means, I get 2 freebee's, courtesy of my negligence =) fedex overnight shipping pa!

The software is very easy to use and most especially the customer service was excellent. MyPublisher is diffinitely a better way to store and display your digital photos. Oh, and before I forget they have Free Online PhotoBook sharing too and free Storage so you can order your book anytime. If you want to access my first book, click here:

Your Book ID # is: M294945
Your password is: 780366

My first book is just very simple, however the one that I am working on for JJ and I is like a story book, so I can put a text on every picture, If I wanted too. Go ahead and check my first book!

Meery Christmas from the Johnson's

I salute myself for being able to put up our tree and decorations on the first day of December. Yay! However, I still need some finishing touches. I don't have much to decorate like anyone else here. Not much time to make more and no extra money to spend for it. We've been broke after our PI vacation...oucch!

I will share more when I am done and content with my decorations =) Peace yo!

Sweet Moments with Friends

I was browsing the photos I got from my PI vacation and I can't help but smile looking at it. It's been a month since I got back. I can say it surely was a the best vacation. I have taken more than 900 photos plus a few videos that I can look at when I get homesick.

Here's some of my favorites with my bestestfriend Cathy, and my college classmates/friends/boardmates/batchmates =) Jeany, Josephine...I spent 4 years with these wonderful ladies.

Jeany surprised me with Cathy and Listher (her son) and Josephine in our Pizzahut gathering.

pix 1. Cathy and I -She is my bestest friends since high school. We went to the same college. Took the same major, we were inseparable until our friendship was tested on our last year in college. We did not talk for few months but we sorted out things, weeks before we graduated. We both were wounded and things were never the same again. We haven't seen each other for 9 years but we communicated a few times through sms and e-mail. It was a surprise seeing her again after so many years. She hasn't changed. Still the prettiest, down-to-earth and dedicated to the Lord, even with hardships in raising her son as a single parent.

IMG_2677
She named her son Lister. Actually, he had two names. Listher was like his middle name which was our combined name when we were in high school. Thus Elisa and Catherine = Listher

pix 2. Jeany and I -She is a sweet and loyal friend that I can always count on. I used to hang out with her in her boarding house doing things like cooking, eating, studying, doing project and other school stuff, talking about things and being silly. And she won't let me go back to my boarding house until she gets a friendly smooch haha! I can't thank her enough for tagging Cathy, Listher and Josephine along with her. She's now a happy mom and wife and i am so happy for her that life turns out the way she wanted it to be.

pix 3. Josephine and I. Cathy, Josephine and I were room mates on our first year in college. Very happy go lucky girl. Walang pakialam in bisaya. but very smart and great sense of humour. Now it kind of surprised me when I learned that she is now the Acting-Principal in the school that she's been teaching with for for the last 7 years! Hah! Now you need a BF - as in boyfriend, husband-to-be...paging....paging...wink*wink ;=) single guy outhere? heheh manawagan ba?

We dined at Pizzahut from 2pm. The food was consumed and everything but the 4 of us were not done catching up so we stayed there until 6pm. Then we agreed to meet again the next monday in Magsasay where Josephine worked. We spent the entire day just catching up about things and I was the dumbest woman who forgot about bring my camera. Darn!

pix 4. Our group photo with Roy also our batchmates who now works at SPC. He was the only thorn among the roses before thus making him the all time favorite Prince Charming among our batch. He was gifted with a lovely wife and the most tisoy ever na anak. Way to go Cor Jesian's!

Meet and Greet with UIC Peeps

Being able to meet up with my former co-workers and friends from UIC was one of the best thing that happened on my vacation. I sent my invitation thru text messaging via Jenny and in days she managed to confirm 11 attendants. Isn't that great?
IMG_2664
Jenny and I

It was very nice of her to inform them about my invitation and I truly appreciate her kindness. Eversince I got here in Ohio, she never stopped communicating with me. She is always there to chat when I am online or simply left me an offline message whenever she can. I have never told someone before how she warms my heart with her friendship. She was the very least person I thought would communicate with because of the distance. I never got the chance to really know her well and be closed to each other back then, simply because we worked in different campuses. We do talked mostly on matters about our jobs and made sure that we run the same policy, that's about it. Oh wait, I just remembered, I was one of her bridesmaid! Yay, and we do go out in groups and that's about it. Anyhow, most of my friends that I expected to come showed up at Pizzahut, SM.

Its very amazing seeing them after 3 years! None of them aged. Two of them got married while I heard some bells ringing here and there. It seems like I was just gone for few months. We were all busy catching up. I really wished we met up while JJ was still in Davao but he had to leave a week ahead of me due to a conference in Chicago.
